Yes FINALLY I have posted Murray's baby pictures. I know, I know, he's given me supreme hell for not doing it sooner too but they are here now so enJoy!.

We knew from the start Murray was going to be something special the morning we awoke to that little mottled egg in his mothers nest. Now..we'd had brown eggs.. We've heard of blue eggs.. But we had never seen a mottled egg.. It was puzzling..

Everyone knows that some eggs on a farm are hatched and others are used for cooking and baking.. Well.... Murray's egg, though different from the others was, one that was selected for the next mornings breakfast table.. Until ... he made a break for it!

We couldn't believe our eyes! This little egg teetered on the edge of it's carton and then leapt to the ground and rolled away back to the nest! We knew then and there we had to keep this special little egg..

Murray's Mother was quite attentive to all his needs as an egg. She sat on him and kept him nice and warm till the day came when Murray was ready to hatch. We watched all day as he slowly hatched from the egg. My gosh he was just the most adorable little fella we'd ever seen!

Yes Murray was a keeper. We put him in with the other chicks so he wouldn't feel left out. He had one special little girlfriend that had such a crush on him.. She was always giving him a little peck on the cheek.

Murray tried to blend in with all the others... it.. just was becoming obvious though, Murray was a chicken of a different breed. His cousin whispered to him that the other chickens had been talking about Murray and how different he was from them all. This made Murray sad and he kept to himself for a while. Till he the day he told him mom how he felt about being different from the others.. This is when things changed for Murray..

His mother took him under her wing and told him that how being different isn't a bad thing at all. Being different is a wonderful thing. She told him that there is a reason he wasn't like all the others and one day he would know why and he'd show everyone what a great feeling it is not to be like everyone else in this world.. This made Murray very happy and that's... when he started dreaming of bigger things than the chicken coop.

Murray and the others grew to be fine upstanding young chickens. The day came when they were moved to another pen away from the adult birds. Murray thought this was only a temporary situation but he soon learned he was never to see his parents again ..........His journey had begun....
